OWL FOOD is a woman-owned, family operated Vermont business. Since 2011, we have handled all aspects of production in our own commercial kitchen. Our commitment to keeping production in-house not only ensures the highest standards of quality, but it also allows us to carefully inspect and taste each ingredient before it’s included in our recipes, provide attention to detail throughout the production and packaging process, and also ensure that our customers receive the freshest product.

We have a passion for making good food for others and we are honored to share our work with you. We embrace a small batch hand crafted process guided by our principals of a mindful and intentional approach with the goal of making the finest most delicious energy bars.

OWL Food aims to create the most genuine, pure, nutrient dense energy bars we can. We want our customers to say "this tastes homemade". We achieve this through minimally processing our ingredients, taking time and care with each step of the process, and thoughtfully sourcing only the highest quality ingredients.

Great food starts with great ingredients. OWL Bars are designed with the philosophy that “you are what you eat”. We consciously source clean ingredients that are rich in protein, nutrients, and minerals to naturally support your energy levels. We turn to our network of trusted supplier partners and growers who share our commitment to making the best food possible without compromise. All of the premium ingredients that we use are non-GMO, gluten free, soy free, dairy free, and palm oil free.

For sweeteners we use either local raw honey or pure Vermont maple syrup which provide easily accessible and long lasting energy without the sugar crash associated with other carbohydrates. No shortcuts, no compromises: we never use preservatives, flavorings, fillers, additives, or anything artificial.

Flavor and freshness are highlighted in our blend of fruits and nuts with an emphasis on high quality “fuel foods” to allow you to perform at your fullest. We never skimp on the good stuff and always include a generous amount of nuts, seeds, and fruit in every bar.

Immense care is taken to measure and mix each batch of energy bars to exacting standards to achieve supreme flavor and nutritional benefits from each ingredient. The small scale of our batch process allows us to craft each bar with incredible precision and care you can taste.

What does O.W.L. stand for?

O.W.L. stands for Original. Wholesome. Local.

When we started our business we wanted to create a unique and delicious product with the highest quality ingredients (no thanks corn syrup…bye bye palm oil) and focus on selling to our local region of the Northeast. With these goals in mind the acronym O.W.L. was born. Although we now sell our products throughout the entire Unites States, our vision has stayed true: make great food with real ingredients that people can feel good about.
