Honey

OWL exclusively uses local raw honey.  That’s because using local honey decreases one’s susceptibility to seasonal allergies and boosts immunity.  Honey, nature’s sweetener, is better tolerated by individuals with glucose intolerance, aids in muscle repair, is useful as an antimicrobial agent, and is rich in antioxidants.

Peanut Butter

We use old-fashioned, all-natural peanut butter in the OWL Energy Bar. It is made with dry roasted peanuts and low sodium sea salt.  That’s it; no Trans Fat, artificial fillers, hydrogenated oils, preservatives, or GMO’s. Peanut butter adds not only a healthy dose of necessary energy sustaining protein, but it also provides potassium, calcium, iron, AND helps to lower LDL cholesterol levels. Dates

Gives extra energy to a tired human body within half an hour of eating. Health benefits of dates have made them the best nourishment for muscle development. High in natural fibers, vitamins, and minerals such as calcium, sulfur, iron, potassium, phosphorous, manganese, copper and magnesium which are advantageous for health.

Cranberries

Stroke fighting potassium, cancer battling vitamin A, and a decent amount of vitamin C.

Dried Apricots

Source of nutrients, such as Vitamin C, beta-carotene (Vitamin A which may have anticancer activity), and minerals such as iron, phosphorus, and calcium. Apricots are also easy to digest, and contain potassium which lowers blood pressure.

Raisins

Raisins are rich in antioxidants, potassium, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. They do not trigger a low energy response after workouts, so keep on moving!

High in Vitamin B, Vitamin E (which possesses anti-inflammatory properties), and minerals such as copper, iron, potassium, calcium, and zinc. They are also a good source of protein, fiber, and amino acids.
